Opening Hours

The library will be open from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM on all working days except for calendar holidays.

Being an interdisciplinary area, Nanoscience & Technology requires expertise in all areas of modern science and holds tremendous promise for future activities and development for the welfare of the society. University of Calicut has full-fledged PG teaching and research Departments in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany and Life sciences. With such a wide range of faculty expertise and the high quality student inflow to the University it is very much crucial to energize and integrate the interests of various departments to this emerging area. By considering the quantum of scientific and industrial activity that is expected to come around this area in our country and abroad in the coming years, high quality, and trained manpower is required for realizing these goals. In this perspective the Department will also generate several high quality students and researchers to meet the growing need of qualified experts to work in this area. This will also ensure better job opportunities to our younger generation. The Department has an M. Tech lab, research labs, class rooms, computer room, office, library, faculty rooms etc. and has acquired a number of sophisticated lab instruments.
